For the 60th of Alfa Romeo Disco Volante (Flying Saucer in Italian), originally released in 1952, the design agency Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera designed a new version of the Disco Volante ($TBA).

You can’t exactly buy this bus yet (you can find London’s double-deckers for sale after they are dismissed), but the new London’s Double Decker ($TBA)sports a really futuristic look. The bus is designed by Thomas Heatherwick, and it’s the first time in more than 50 years that the city commissions a new bus design. A first small fleet of buses will be hitting London’s streets in early 2012. This is so much cooler than your mini-van.
