This week’s app is Action Movie FX (Free), which is made by Bad Robot Interactive. The application allows everyone to become, for few minutes, the director of their own action movie by adding incredible special effects to your iPhone video clips. The application comes with two free effects: a car accident and a missile strike. More effects can be purchased using in-app purchase. Sadly, there are only two other effects packages available in the store at the moment, with each of them containing two effect. Hopefully they’ll add more soon. Usefulness of this app: 0. Awesomeness: 10.

Everyone knows Moleskine for their sleek notebooks, but very few know that Moleskine launched a new line of bags, of which the Moleskine Messenger Bag ($130) is a perfect example.
The design follows the same minimal approach of their notebooks, but it packs some neat feature like the double flap cover can fold under itself to carry additional items (like your rolled drawings) and can be fastened via snap closures to three different positions. Definitely a great choice for those looking for a stylish but functional bag.
You can buy it at Moleskine.

You consider yourself a very classy and fashionable person, but still you send your dog around with an anonymous collar from Pet Smart. It’s time to change that. I’m usually against dressing your dog like a human, but this dog bow tie collar ($42) is simply awesome. The 100% cotton collar is handmade by SillyBuddy and includes a snap on dapper bow tie that you can attached or remove.

Look out batteries, you may soon be a thing of the past. Powertrekk ($299) is a portable fuel cell charger. It was built with outdoor enthusiasts in mind, but I can definitely see many other uses, from SXSW attendees to post-hurricane blackouts. Like most other fuel cells, PowerTrekk works by converting hydrogen gas into electricity, and it works with only a couple of spoons of water. And since it generates clean electricity, the only waste produced is some water vapor.
You can find more info at Powertrekk.com.
Unit Portables ($99) is a swedish-designed system of bags and pouches that, thanks to its modular structure, allows you to customize your bag depending on your needs. It was really hard not to put this bike in the art category instead of the bicycle one. The Biscotti Messanger Bike ($TBA) is truly a piece of art. The elegance of the 1970 Bridgetstone racing frame with the aggressiveness of the fat tires won’t let this bike pass unnoticed.
